During the Master, students will receive local languages courses in the first three semesters, as a mean of better integration with the host country and to prepare for the mobility. More precisely, specially targeted courses are provided to those students who are beginners in the local language study. Those who are more advanced are integrated in already existing language course at the university. Language courses contribute credits to the students’ curricula.
Although the common language for the Master is English, it is expected that students could be able, after some training, to follow a course or seminar in the local language.
During the first year, the master students are all staying in France, where they take French language courses. It is highly recommended to take also a language course of Italian, Romanian, Spanish or Catalan, depending on the selected destination for the second year. All the partners provide the required language courses for the semester or semesters in which the master students are hosted. Some partners provide, either as a service in the campus or by agreements, the access to language schools with a wide variety of languages and type of courses (intensive, extensive).
To better emphasize the usage of two different European languages, the Master thesis will be written in English and must include an extended abstract written in one of the languages from the consortium partners.
